Course content

Philosophical background of the TCM, Yin-Yang and the Five Elements theories; organ clock, Meridians and Channels. Basics of Acupuncture and acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, auriculotherapy.

Learning outcomes
|
Obtaining basic knowledge of philosophical background of the TCM, Yin-Yang and the Five Elements theories; Qi, Meridians and Channels. Illness as a disorder of imbalance. Acupuncture and acupressure techniques in treatment.
After completion of the course the student should be able to explain the basics of TCM and show the location of channels and main points including explanation of their function.

Attendance to all lectures/ practicals, proven knowledge by passing the final written test, one absence will be tolerated.
