Course content
Topics of seminars and practical lectures: 1. Definition and categorization of physical therapy. General indications of physical therapy according to the desired effect, the application of individual physical stimuli according to the stage of movement system disorders, the position of physical therapy in rehabilitation. 2. Galvanotherapy. 3. Low-frequency electrotherapy (Träbert currents, TENS, SIP, diadynamic currents) 4. Mid-frequency electrotherapy. 5. Electrodiagnostics of the neuromuscular system. Stimulation of skeletal muscles. Classical and modern electrodiagnostics. Differences in stimulation of intact and denervated muscle, motor points. Electrogymnastics. Modulated impulse currents, "Russian stimulation".

Learning outcomes
Objectives: Annotation: The course introduces students to other possibilities of treatment and diagnostics with help of physical therapy. It provides basic knowledge of electrotherapy and electrodiagnostics. Students get to know principal safety instructions of electrotherapy application in practice.
