Course content
The main topics of the subject: research in midwifery and nursing (role, characteristics and importance of research, types of research, role of a midwife, grant agencies, ethical principles of research in midwifery, research process, quantitative research (research characteristics, , Organization and techniques), selection and formulation of the research problem, research methodology (objectivity, validity, research reliability, selection factors for research tools, quantitative data analysis, presentation of research results in midwifery).

Learning outcomes
The course introduces the research process in midwifery and nursing, its characteristics and types. Describing the phases and steps of the research project proceeds from the conceptual phase through the planning and planning stages to the empirical and analytical phase of the dissemination phase. Identifies ethical dimensions and discusses the ethical issues of research in midwifery and nursing. It presents an overview of methods of collecting empirical data and statistical methods of descriptive and inductive statistics, including data preparation for statistical analysis and statistical evaluation.
Upon completion of the course students will be familiar with quantitative research.

100% attendance at lectures and seminars. Design, implementation and defense of a research project in the field of midwifery and nursing.
