Course content
The extent of full time study is 26 hours. A significant part of the course is self-study of approximately 30 hours per semester using electronic study materials available in the Moodle application at http://moodle.upol.cz. Lesson content: Lección 1 Introduction, stress, pronunciation, word linking, greetings Lección 2 Pronunciation, tener, interrogative pronouns Lección 3 Gender, article, ser, numerals 1-10 Lección 4 Personal pronouns, -ar verbs Lección 5 Plural, hacer, -er and -ir verbs Lección 6 Case, prepositions, irregular verbs Lección 7 Gender pairs, gender inflection, numerals 11-1000 Lección 8 Adjectives, grading of adjectives Lección 9 Possessive pronouns, reflexive verbs Lección 10 Telling time, mucho, poco, demasiado, bastante Lección 11 Ir + infinitive, differences between ser and estar Lección 12 Infinitive used to shorten sentences, numerals > 1000 Lección 13 Revision, preparation for credit test

Learning outcomes
This course was prepared within the following project: Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028 (INTEFTEK). The course is designed for complete beginners. The aim of the course is to develop basic language competences: listening and text comprehension, speaking, reading and writing.
Upon completion of the LEE1 course the level of the student corresponds to the A1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, i.e. the student: can understand short simple texts and communications and can verbally express basic social phrases (introduce him/herself, ask for information, thank, excuse him/herself, communicate in terms of location and time in practical situations in a Hispanophone environment, fill in personal data in a form, write a simple greeting, message or a short letter using a dictionary).
Prerequisites
The course is primarily designed for FTK UP students interested to outgo to a Spanish partner university within Erasmus+ programme. Students from other faculties can enrol in the subject only during the first teaching week if allowed by the course capacity.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

Active participation in classes. Fulfillment of all tests taken throughout the course by a set deadline. Fulfillment of a comprehensive test covering the content of the semester curriculum, minimum achievement 70%.
