Course content
1. Self-knowledge as a basic precondition for work with other people. 2. Communication - with oneself, with others face to face. 3. Self-presentation. 4. Self-assertion vs. cooperation. 5. Experiencing and behaviour in social stress situations. 6. Assertive techniques. 7. Feedback, video-training.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Training in job and motor Skils, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 5 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 15 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Self-experience and experiential seminar aimed at the interaction with other people in various life situations. Training of self-assertion and cooperation in model stress situations. Coping with social stress and related aspects - stress, nervousness, tension. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The student understands basic communication principles and techniques. The student is able to apply the acquired communication techniques adequately in a given context. The student is motivated for further self-development in this area.

Active participation in seminars (80%). Seminar paper (to be submitted one week prior to the last seminar)
