The course starts out with a general orientation into the ways in which psychological processes such as cognition, motivation, emotion, relationships and communication are constituted by culture and society. This orientation will be followed by a more detailed discussion of examples related to each of the specializations in the Psychology Master?s program. Implications of the diversity perspective for research and theory, clinical psychology, school psychology and I/O psychology will be discussed by experts in these areas. Based on current and relevant international scientific literature, the central role of diversity in psychological research and in other work fields of psychology is applied to the domain of Adapted Physical Activity.

This course aims to introduce students to the central role of diversity in psychological research and in other work fields of psychology. Diversity can consist of differences either with respect to cultural context or with respect to status positions of individuals and groups as related to their gender, socio-economic class, ethnicity, or sexual orientation; diversity can also be constituted by cultural changes and contact between cultures. The course starts out with a general orientation into the ways in which psychological processes such as cognition, motivation, emotion, relationships and communication are constituted by culture and society. This orientation will be followed by a more detailed discussion of examples related to each of the specializations in the Psychology Master?s program. Implications of the diversity perspective for research and theory, clinical psychology, school psychology and I/O psychology will be discussed by experts in these areas. Cílem tohoto kurzu je seznámit studenty s ústřední rolí rozmanitosti v psychologickém výzkumu a v dalších pracovních oblastech psychologie. Rozmanitost se může skládat z rozdílů s ohledem na kulturní kontext, nebo s ohledem na postavení jednotlivců a skupin ve vztahu k jejich pohlaví, socioekonomické třídě, etnickému původu nebo sexuální orientaci; rozmanitost může být také tvořena kulturními změnami a kontaktem mezi kulturami. Kurz začíná obecnou orientací na způsoby, kterými psychologické procesy, jako je poznání, motivace, emoce, vztahy a komunikace, tvoří kultura a společnost. Po této orientaci bude následovat podrobnější diskuse o příkladech souvisejících s každou specializací programu Psychologie. Experti v těchto oblastech budou diskutovat důsledky perspektivy rozmanitosti pro výzkum a teorii, klinickou psychologii, školní psychologii apod.
Students obtain advanced information from field of psychology, connected with topics of interest, master thesis topics. Students are able to use a new knowledge in master thesis theoretical part and combain gathered information with educational situation.
