Course content
1. Conceptual content of the recreational and sport management 2. Practice of the recreational and sport management in the Czech Republic and abroad 3. Issues of the strategic planning in recreation and sport 4. Application of the strategic planning in recreation and sport 5. Importance and role of organisation in recreation and sport 6. Definition and role of the individual subjects engaged in management and coordination of recreation and sport in the Czech Republic 7. Financial flows among the individual subjects 8. Marketing research in recreation and sport 9. Complex conception of marketing and recreation and sport 10. Quality management in a sports environment.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to find together with the students answers to the following questions: - What social contribution do recreation and sport have and what are their roles in the society? - What amount of the public financial means are invested to support recreation and sports and how does this support change in time? Recreation and sport also represent dynamic and fast growing economic sector. Recreation and sport serve as an instrument for local and regional development, restoration of cities and development of villages. Therefore, we concentrate on the most precise documentation of the current state and encouraging the trends and dependencies. The aim is to propose solutions for potentially identified opportunities for improvement. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student: - understands variety of the environment for recreation and sport in the Czech Republic - knows definitions and roles of the individual subjects engaged in management and coordinating sport in the Czech Republic - can describe the principal financial flows among the subjects participating in sport in the Czech Republic - can define the aims for the job of the recreation and sport manager - can examine attitudes, opinions, public opinion, often in relation with the marketing research, research of consumer habits to determine effectiveness of advertising and other similar activities in the field of recreation and sport

To draw up and present individual case studies on the dates determined in advance. The quality of the submitted task is assessed verbally.
