Course content
Information services in travel and tourism. Tour operator and travel agency and their associations. Management of a travel agency. Travel contract and its details according the Czech law. Tourist information center - management, classsification of services, offer an tourist products. Others services - financial, money exchange, visas, customs, passports and travel insurance services. Complementary services - recreation,sport, wellness, spa, animation and other services.

Learning outcomes
The course deals with the issue of package tourism and the theory of tours and stays. The course also includes the aspects of a tour operator and travel agency, management and administration of a tour operator/travel agency including the conditions for their incorporation and administration in compliance with the Trade licensing act and Act on certain conditions of business activities in tourism. Attention is also given to information services and the offer and management of tourist information centres. The course also includes other and complementary services in tourism, particularly finance, exchange, visa, passport and customs services. The end of the course provides an overview of travel insurance and travel medicine. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Ability to distinguish between a tour operator and travel agency. Knowledge of the requisites of a travel agreement. Ability to distinguish the three categories of tourist information centres. Ability to individually arrange for complementary tourism services
Prerequisites
Basic orientation in the area of tourism or taking the subject of Principles of tourism.
