Course content
1. Camping and self-care in summer nature. 2. Field orientation, river maps, river mileage. 3. Planning and organization of a river tour. 4. Improving water skills on running water. 5. Safety aspects of river tourism. 6. Natural and artificial obstacles in rivers, tactics of overcoming obstacles. 7. Recreational potential of rivers and their surroundings. 8. Cultural activities.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen the knowledge and improve the skills acquired in the KPL and ZAKA1 courses with an emphasis on the area of river tourism. The student will be confronted with examples of sports and game activities in nature, their application during intense recreation programmes using the theoretical aspects of experiential education. Throughout the course the principles of organizing and planning of activities in nature are explained. The course attempts to use the overall potential of natural environment, historical curiosities and local sights and all cultural legacy with respect to tourism development activities. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student is able to: - Plan a suitable river tour using river mileage, river maps and river tourist servers, - Respect and observe safety standards of river canoeing up to the WW2 difficulty class, - Have a command of the technique and tactics of using a tourist canoe and tourist kayak on rivers up to the WW2 difficulty class, - Have a command of camping skills including self-care in isolation from civilization and respect ecological principles, - Use the overall potential of natural environment and cultural legacy of a given territory for organizing leisure activities, - Eliminate health risks ensuing from this recreational activity.
Prerequisites
Command of elementary skills required for tourist canoe and tourist kayak on still and calm running water. This can be achieved by completion of the KRL/ZAKA1 course. Completion of FTK/KPL summer course.

Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student

Active participation in all outdoor course activities, command of tourist canoe and tourist kayak on still and calm running water, tourist and camping skills including field movement and orientation, participation in a project, seminar paper.
