TOPICS COVERED IN THE LECTURES: - an introduction to kinesiotherapy; kinesiotherapy in medical rehabilitation - the scope of kinesiotherapy and its methodological principles - physiology and kinesiology of movement - structure of an exercise session - re-education of strength, re-education of range of motion - relaxation in kinesiotherapy, influencing movement coordination - re-education of respiratory functions - fitness kinesiotherapy, kinesiotherapy during immobilisation - re-education of static and locomotor functions - facilitation techniques in kinesiotherapy TOPICS OF SEMINARS: - starting exercise positions and their correction - rehabilitation of static and locomotor functions - active movement - standing up, gait rehabilitation - passive movement - muscle strength exercises - influencing range of motion - analytical exercises according to Kenny - re-education of respiratory functions

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces students to the basics of kinesiotherapy, which is one of the main therapeutic methods in physiotherapy. Students will gain information about the methodological principles of conducting kinesiotherapy and its basic procedures, which they will learn to perform also practically.
The student understands the principles of selected exercises and is able to compile a detailed kinesiotherapy session from the learned kinesiotherapeutic procedures, or modify it to suit specific situations and the patient's health conditions.

Prerequisites
|
Sufficient knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, general physiology, and neurophysiology is required. A fundamental prerequisite for successful completion of the course is also knowledge of the theoretical foundations of kinesiology and its application in physiotherapy practice.

100% attendance in exercises, a minimum of 50% of the total possible points in ongoing tests, 70% success rate in the final test, practical exam, oral exam
