Course content
|
Annotation: The course has a theoretical and practical structure. Students get familiar the field of kinesiotherapy in neurology, which forms a large part of kinesiotherapy in physiotherapy. Students will get an overview of the most common diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, their symptomatology, diagnostics and possibilities of kinesiotherapy, both in children and adults. Topics of seminars and practical lectures: 1. Development of fine and gross motor functions in preschool children; 2. Developmental coordination disorder; 3. Disturbances in central coordination, The Vojta Principle in children; 4. Cerebral palsy - therapeutic approach; 5. Neuromuscular transmission disorders, muscular diseases; 6. Tumour diseases NS; 7. Craniocerebral trauma. 8. Herniation - cervical, lumbar spine

Learning outcomes
|
Objectives: The aim of the course is to obtain theoretical knowledge about the individual symptoms of the disease, following the practical mastering of kinesiotherapeutic examination and determination of the kinesiotherapy plan using various neurophysiological techniques. The student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and practical skills in neurological patients.
The student is able to apply the given examination and treatment methods in the complex treatment of people with neurological disorders.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge in anatomy, functional movement diagnostics., neurophysiology, biophysics, kinesiology is required. Subject is recommended for students of 3th year of bachelor study.
