- Types and possible causes of industrial accidents, - Study of origination and consequences of a selected chemical accident in the Czech Republic and abroad, - Classification of accidents and disasters, - Position of chemical accidents, - Legislation in the area of hazardous substances, - Hazardous substances and their properties, - Principles of and requirements for handling of hazardous substances, - Information systems about hazardous substances, - Basic information about modelling of spills of hazardous substances, - Serious accident prevention system in the Czech Republic, - Aims and measures of serious accident prevention, - Required documents in the area of serious accident prevention, - Development of critical infrastructure in the Czech Republic and abroad, - Divisions and components of critical infrastructure, - Protection of critical infrastructure components, - Legislative requirements for critical infrastructure in the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce to the students basic types of industrial accidents, their classification and possible causes. The course further covers the area of handling of hazardous substances and the serious accident prevention system. The students also learn about basic information from the area of critical infrastructure. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
- General overview of the types of industrial accidents and their possible causes, - Basic knowledge of identification of dangers of serious accidents and their consequences, - Knowledge of the properties of hazardous substances, - Knowledge of the principles of and requirements for handling of hazardous substances, - Understanding the serious accident prevention system, - Knowledge of the responsibilities in the area of serious accident prevention, - General overview of the approaches to critical infrastructure in the Czech Republic and abroad, - Knowledge of the divisions of critical infrastructure in the Czech Republic, - Introduction of the system of protection of critical infrastructure components, - Understanding the legal regulations governing the prevention of serious industrial accidents, hazardous prevention and critical infrastructure.
