Course content
01. Introduction to the subject, basic concepts and knowledge of managerial decision making 02. Decision making processes and their structure 03. Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students to use decision-making procedures and methods for their future management practice and to work with risks and reduce their impact. The content of the course will focus on providing the necessary knowledge about the content, function and applied tools of managerial decision-making in organizations under conditions of certainty, risk and uncertainty, especially from a practical point of view, emphasis will be placed on rational and effective procedures and methods. After completing the course the student will demonstrate the ability to analyze the decision-making situation, will be able to determine the effective decision-making style, will be able to apply decision-making procedures and methods, can design solutions to decision problems and critically evaluate them from a multicriteria perspective decision-making problems and effective decision-making.
- after completing the course, the student is able to describe the rational procedure of identification and analysis of decision problems; - can describe methods and tools of causal analysis and multicriteria evaluation of variants; - is familiar with the basic theoretical principles of decision-making under risks and uncertainties; - is able to design appropriate procedures and methods for solving the decision problem on the basis of available information; - can apply methods of analysis of decision problems and arrive at a quality formulation of these problems; - can use multi-criteria evaluation methods to streamline the evaluation and decision-making process.
Prerequisites
It is recommended to complete bachelor's degree courses, especially courses dealing with management issues.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work

To complete the course, an activity during the seminar and the elaboration of a seminar paper within the specified deadline is required, if its elaboration is required. Optionally, a group work task consisting in solving a decision problem can be assigned as a credit condition. The credit will be realized in the form of a test in the MOODLE system. When the required number of correct answers (80%) is reached, the test will be evaluated as successful and, according to the points achieved, a mark will be awarded that will correspond to the mark at the exam. If the grade is below 80%, an oral exam will be taken by prior arrangement with the teacher.
