Course content
1. Introduction to the subject - a few ideas and theses as an introduction 2. Security legislation and security system of the Czech Republic 3. State security policy and security system 4. Security strategy of the Czech Republic and security system of the Czech Republic

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the security legislation and security system of the Czech Republic, state security policy and security system, tasks to ensure state defense in the competence of municipalities with extended powers and national (security) interests, and the role of the Czech Armed Forces. The links between individual scientific disciplines will be defined and the basic concepts related to security policy will be clarified. Part of the subject will be the application of views on the issue of "What would a global village look like?" In order to realize the global aspect of the topics. All lectured aspects of the security policy of the state will be directed to the issue of protection of the population.
Upon completion of the course the student is knowledgeable about theoretical principles of state security and is ready to apply these principles in practice. The student is able to think in the context of state security issues.
Prerequisites
Accompanying completion of bachelor's degree courses is recommended, especially courses dealing with the protection of the population.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Dialog, Seminar Work

To complete the subject, activity during the seminar, and the elaboration of a seminar paper in the specified term is required, if its elaboration is required. The credit will be realized in the form of a test in the MOODLE system. When the required number of correct answers (80 %) is reached, the test will be evaluated as successful and according to the points achieved, a mark will be awarded, which will correspond to the mark at the exam. If the evaluation is below the limit of 80 %, an oral exam will be passed after prior agreement with the teacher.
