Course content
Assumptions of development of personality psychology The subject of personality psychology (structure, dynamics, development) Research strategy of the discipline (nomotetic vs idiografic access) Sources of formation and development of personality. Temperament, character, physique. Dominant psychological schools and concepts in the study of personality: Psychoanalytic concepts Traits (psychometric) approach Humanistic existentialist approach Socio-cognitive approach The term I Personality dispositions, values, attitudes, prejudices Motives and motivation Frustration Personality disorders, psychotherapy.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Preparation for the Exam - 40 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 10 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
To introduce the students to the problems of personality psychology. Analysis of the basic concepts of personality psychology (dynamics, structure, temperament, motivation, theoretical orientations, etc.)
The course focuses on the ability of understanding and evaluation of personality characteristics and expressions. To assess the specific methods and procedures for the investigation of personality. To explain the various aspects of personality, its origins and development. Conclusions formulation.
