Course content
1. Psychotherapy of neurotic disorders, stress disorders and personality disorders "review of neurotic disorders according to ICD-10; "therapeutic work with fear and anxiety; "basic approaches in the treatment of neurotic disorders: clarification of the causes and nature of the disease, the use of suggestion and hypnosis, abreaction, empathy, preview psychotherapy, training techniques; "outpatient and stationary treatment, a combination of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy; 2. Psychotherapy of psychoses "psychotherapy in schizophrenia and primary depression; "the approach of E. Syřišťová in the treatment of schizophrenia in a long - term therapeutic relationship; "group therapy in schizophrenia (I. Strossová, K. Kalina); "rehabilitation and resocialization techniques, occupational therapy, art therapy, music therapy, possibilities of using movement techniques; "teaching and training programs (Prelapse, IPT, etc.); "pharmacotherapy "group psychotherapy of neuroses, use of group dynamics. 3. Psychotherapy of alcohol and drug addiction "Psychology of patient dependence, addiction stages; "The system of lectures for alcoholics. Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
Application of psychotherapy on problematic of neurosis, psychosis, addiction, psychosomatic disorder, organic disorder, personality disorders. Excercises in special psychotherapeutic technique.
Students obtain essential knowledges and skills needed for assesing applicability selected methods in concrete mental disorders.
Prerequisites
Course is for students which finished course of General psychology and they want to elaborate their knowledges and practical skills in the area of application of psychotherapeutic method in concrete mental disorders.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance, Dialog, Seminar Work

Students forms teams and they have to present selected topic to their collegues in seminar. Requested is 80% attendance, acitivity. Students are motivated to discussion and professional ways of thinking about concrete problems. The course is completed by a credit and an exam, which is awarded for presenting a chosen topic and a written test.
