Course content
The life and work of Sigmund Freud. Basic principles of psychoanalysis. Affect-trauma stage. Trauma, repression and conversion. An early theory of the origin of neuroses. A topographical model of the human psyche. Primary and secondary process, dream interpretation. Freud's concept of psychosexual development. Oedipus complex. Perversion. Division of perversions, models of their emergence. Freud's concept of narcissism. A structural model of the human psyche. Superego Freud's theories of anxiety. Freud's close collaborators. Karl Abraham, Sandor Ferenczi. Psychology of the Self - Anna Freudová, Heinz Hartmann, Ernst Kris, Erik Erikson. British School of Object Relations - Melanie Klein, Wilfred Bion, Independent.
