The life and work of Sigmund Freud. Basic principles of psychoanalysis. Affect-trauma stage. Trauma, repression and conversion. An early theory of the origin of neuroses. A topographical model of the human psyche. Primary and secondary process, dream interpretation. Freud's concept of psychosexual development. Oedipus complex. Perversion. Division of perversions, models of their emergence. Freud's concept of narcissism. A structural model of the human psyche. Superego Freud's theories of anxiety. Freud's close collaborators. Presentation of classic Freudian psychoanalysis, which significantly influenced the further development of general, developmental psychology and psychotherapy and following psychodynamic schools.
More extensive critical insight into the psychodynamic and psychoanalytic thinking.

The recommended precondition is the achieved bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Mark, Oral exam, Essay
Attendance, disscusion, review of a publication written by S. Freud or one of his close collaborators and successful completion of the final test.
