Course content
1. Familiarisation with the organisation of a clinical workplace, documentation and clinical psychologist' work. When selecting the workplace, the Ss follow the information on the clinical psychology workplaces within the Partner Network of the Department of Psychology. If the student prefers completion of the practical training outside the Partner Network, the workplace must be approved in advance by the course guarantee. 2. Participation at a psychological examination of a patient led by a psychologist- trainer a. Student's examination of the patient: the course "Practical clinical training" includes an obligatory examination of a patient using psychodiagnostic methods (methods to examine the intelligence and personality). Such professional trainings/internships are based on education and research, which means that Ss shall participate in a pre-determined research task. The instructions will be provided by the responsible worker of the Department for the given practical workplace (see the Manual of Clinical Internships). If a student does not complete the practical clinical training in the Partner Network, s/he need not participate in the research, but the completion of a psychological examination still applies to him/her. 3. Tutorial with the trainer over the results. 4. Reporting the psychological examination in writing and its submission. The course has been innovated with new practices within the Partner Network of the Department of Psychology. The course has been innovated within the Project CZ.1.07/2.4.00/31.0153 "Establishment and development of partner networks for the implementation of internships and applied research at the Department of Psychology FF UP Olomouc".

Learning outcomes
Students' professional practice in clinical psychology module is a compulsory part of the undergraduate study program. It serves for the basic orientation of the student in the medical environment. Students acquire basic skills necessary to work with a client. They are acquainted with the operation of healthcare facilities, the management of medical documentation, hierarchies and organizations of healthcare, the legislative framework of healthcare provision. Based on the practice, the student elaborates a clinical-psychological examination in the form of a case report in which he / she demonstrates knowledge of basic clinical-psychological methods. Another important objective of professional practice is to contribute to the realization of the research plan agreed between the partner organization where the practice takes place and the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Arts. Research objectives are governed by specifics according to agreement with individual partners.
- The acquired competences gained from Practical clinical training are as follows: - Ss know the basic principles of function and common operation of a selected healthcare facility. - Ss are well-informed about the key medical documentation. - Ss are well-informed about the healthcare legislation. - Ss are able to contact clients of a given healthcare facility and interview them. - Ss know the required form of the psychological examination structure. - Ss are able to conduct a psychological dialogue with a selected client. - Ss are able to keep to basic dialogue strategies within the psychological examination structure. - Ss are able to use a selected psychodiagnostic test, i.e. set, supervise, evaluate and interpret the test in the standard manner. - Ss are able to meaningfully formulate the information acquired from a psychological dialogue and the obtained results from the psychodiagnostic methods into the final psychological examination. - Ss think about their personal attitudes and the ethical aspects of work in health services. - Ss are able to carry out a research contact with a client, from obtaining an informed consent, via own data acquisition using selected methods to providing a feedback.

Practical clinical training - The credit is granted having submitted the Psychological examination 3. Ss, whose trainings are in EDIS, upload the output in the electronic form into EDIS within 2 weeks after the end of the training.
