1. Familiarisation with the organisation of a clinical workplace, documentation and clinical psychologist' work. When selecting the workplace, the Ss follow the information on the clinical psychology workplaces within the Partner Network of the Department of Psychology. If the student prefers completion of the practical training outside the Partner Network, the workplace must be approved in advance by the course guarantee. 2. Participation at a psychological examination of a patient led by a psychologist- trainer a. Student's examination of the patient: the course "Practical clinical training 2" includes an obligatory examination of a patient using psychodiagnostic methods (methods to examine the intelligence and personality). Such professional trainings/internships are based on education and research, which means that Ss shall participate in a pre-determined research task. The instructions will be provided by the responsible worker of the Department for the given practical workplace (see the Manual of Clinical Internships). If a student does not complete the practical clinical training in the Partner Network, s/he need not participate in the research, but the completion of a psychological examination still applies to him/her. 3. Learning outcomes

Within the Clinical Psychology module, students' practical trainings are compulsory and make part of the undergraduate studies. They help Ss learn about the healthcare environment in a greater detail. Ss familiarise themselves with the basic skills required for the work with clients. They learn about the operation of a healthcare facility, keeping the medical documentation, hierarchies and organisation of healthcare, and the legislative framework of health services. After the practical training, the student makes a clinical-psychological examination in the form of a case report, where s/he demonstrates her/his knowledge of the basic clinical-psychological methods.
- Practical clinical training 2 builds on Practical clinical training 1. The acquired competences gained from Practical clinical training 2 are as follows: - Ss know the basic principles of function and common operation of a selected healthcare facility. - Ss are well-informed about the key medical documentation. - Ss are well-informed about the healthcare legislation. - Ss are able to contact clients of a given healthcare facility and interview them. - Ss are able to conduct a psychological dialogue with a selected client. - Ss are able to keep to basic dialogue strategies within the psychological examination structure. - Ss are able to use a selected psychodiagnostic test, i.e. set, supervise, evaluate and interpret the test in the standard manner. - Ss are able to meaningfully formulate the information acquired from a psychological dialogue and the obtained results from the psychodiagnostic methods into the final psychological examination. - Ss know the required form of the psychological examination structure. - Ss think about their personal attitudes and the ethical aspects of work in health services. - Ss are able to carry out a research contact with a client, from obtaining an informed consent, via own data acquisition using selected methods to providing a feedback.
