Course content
. Selection of communication channel, comparison of specificity of communication channel 2. Communication through social networks: professional and academic social networks, blogs 3. Creation and administration of web page: domain, Content Management System, hosting, emails 4. Rules of e-mail communication 5. Data Management for freelancers, software as a service 6. Creation of e-portfolios 7. Education in 3D virtual world 8. Communication tools for team cooperation, sharing, planning, collaborative writing 9. Effective search of information: history of web, tips for searching information 10. Information sorting: RSS feeds, text editing This subject arose from a project CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0138 Modularization and psychological education at Palacky University in Olomouc through innovation and links between economic and psychological study programs. The course is part of managerial education within "MBA" module.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce new information and communication technologies in working environment. The main emphasis is put on effective work by the right usage of these technologies and to point out the possibilities of their usage in the scope of self-education as well. This subject is mainly focused on hard skills which are necessary not only for future businessmen, but also for common employers. The course is part of managerial education within "MBA" module.
Knowledge:The graduate is able to explain current trends in information and communication technologies. The graduate knows different applications for Data Management. Competences: Effective search of information. The graduate is able to present himself in appropriate way on social networks, is able to use communication channels, including email. Capabilities: team work, planning, self-study through on-line tools.
Prerequisites
Open attitude towards new technology, experience with e-learning environment Moodle is an advantage.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

The condition necessary for successful completion of the course is continuous accomplishment of all the tasks assigned by the teacher during the whole semester. Other requirements: 80% attendance and successful defence of a seminar work. Students are recommended to bring a laptop.
