You will get all other important information right on our first meeting.

The aim of this course is to help students to write a good research proposal that should contain a justification for the research, a theoretical background, research objectives, a decision about the population and sample, a description of the data collection methods, choice of appropriate analysis methods, ethical issues, and other specifics. The ability you can gain in this course is to write a realistic and persuasive research proposal. Once you have your initial research questions defined you can start to move from a rough sketch to a detailed and crafted blueprint. A bit of writing and constructive feedback from your tutor can help a lot. Through discussion ideas and possible errors in a specific research plans are identified. Students practice in formulating their own research projects, which are then processed mostly in their thesis.

The main outcome of the course is to develop the ability to write the research proposal (approx.15 slides in powerpoint) containing the aims of the research, a justification of research, theoretical background, research objectives, the methodology used, the decision on the population and sample, data collection methods, analysis methods and other specifics. Students thus clarify the direction of their research, consider the use of appropriate methods and then practice in formulating their own research projects, which are then processed in their theses and other future research works.These presentations with proposals are then discussed at lectures.
