Course content
The subject is teached in the form of a e-learning course. After an introduction the situation in Germany, Austria, the Czech lands, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland is analysed.

Learning outcomes
The module gives a survey of the reception of Dutch and Flemish literature in Central Europe, defined as Austria, the Czech lands, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. After introductory hours two weeks are vowed to every country. A short survey of the history of the country, of the translation of Dutch & Flemish literature in the country and the place of the translations in the national literature is offered.
Understanding of the mechanisms of the reception of Dutch and Flemish literature in a Central European context.
Prerequisites
Medium advanced knowledge of Dutch on the CEFR level B1 till B2.

Student performance

Weekly homework in the form of questions, at the end of the course a seminar paper.
