Course content
A systematic discussion and presentation of common translation studies terminology based on the recommended reading list.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Group work, Analyzing and producing soundtrack
Learning outcomes
The course offers a survey of the theoretical aspects of professional language and terminology. The course focuses especially on the economical and political terminology as used in Dutch-speaking countries.
Students gain an overview of the most commonly used types of interpreting and translation, including the terminology used.
Prerequisites
Active participation in class; no more than two unexcused absences per semester.
