Course content
In this course the students deepen their practical knowledge of the Dutch grammar system. It is a follow up course on the courses of Dutch grammar taught in the second year of the bachelor study programme. Specific examples are used to rehearse the discussed grammar issues with special attention being paid for example to the ways of using the conditional constructions, passive constructions, transforming direct speech to indirect, sequence of tenses, separable and inseparable compound verbs or prepositional constructions of a selected number of verbs. They also refresh the knowledge concerning the Dutch word order.

Learning outcomes
This course deepens the students' practical knowledge of Dutch grammar system and builds upon the topics taught in the grammar courses of the second year of the bachelor study programme. Specific examples are used to rehearse the discussed grammar issues with special attention being paid for example to the ways of using the conditional constructions, indirect speech, separable and inseparable compound verbs, sequence of tenses or prepositional constructions of a selected number of verbs. The students also refreseqh the knowledge concerning the the Dutch word order in different types of sentences.
Deepening knowledge of Dutch grammar, extending vocabulary and improving practical language skills.
Prerequisites
The students are required to have the Dutch language competences on the minimal B1 - CEFR level, to have passed the Grammar exercises 2 and to be familiar with basic linguistic terms.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

Carrying out homework tasks and other assignments systematically, being active during the seminars, taking interim tests, passing the final written test minimally with 60 % result.
