Course content |
Students get gradually familiar with the basic principles and rules of the Dutch grammar system and apply these in the practice. During the summer semester a special attention is being paid to creating past tense of Dutch (ir)regular verbs, the usage of adjectives (declinations, making comparative and superlative forms), articles, prepositions, conjuctions, basic principles of negation. Moreover word order in simple sentences and short complex/compound sentences both in the present and past tense is being exercised.

This course builds upon the knowledge and competences obtained within the courses Dutch Grammar 2 (NIZ/1GRM2) and Selective Grammar Tutorial 1 (NIZ/1VSG1). It's aim is to deapen and make more profound the knowledge of the grammar rules dealt with within the course NIZ/1GRM2 making use of varied exercises so that the students are able to apply these rules in their own Dutch language production.
