Course content
The main themes are the 12 provinces of the Netherlands and their specifics (geography, economy, politics). Furthermore the main economic and political centres will be described.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
  • Homework for Teaching - 14 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 80 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
During the course the students will be acquainted with the geographic features of the Netherlands and Belgium. The main themes are the provinces and the economic structure of both countries, main economic centres and a survey of the main economic branches of both countries.
The students have a good knowledge of the geography and economy of The Netherlands.
Prerequisites
A general overview at the high school graduate level is appropriate.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Class participation, home preparation, homework. Essay on a selected topic.
