Learning outcomes
|
Lecture on grammar system of the Ukrainian language in comparison with Czech. Some general lingvistic information included. The aim is to provide the non-philologist students with basic knowledge of the contemporary Ukrainian language system. Basic topics: General linguistics terms and notions, Ukrainian alphabet and orthography; stylistic charasteristic of Ukrainian. Parts of speech.
Students will acquire skills in using more complex constructions, phrases and sentences. They will be able to use substantive with prepositions, comparative/superlative of adjectives and to use the learnt grammar.

Prerequisites
|
Students are supposed to have basic knowledge of Ukrainian vocalic and consonantal system and their written forms. They should be able to use simple sentences.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Written exam
- active participation - completion of class room tasks and home assignments - physical and mental attendance - theoretical and practical knowledge of discussed topics - final credit test
