Learning outcomes
The literary seminar will be organized in the form of block lectures by invited experts from Slavic studies in Poland, Slovakia, Germany or Ukraine. We foresee two Friday blocks devoted to specific topics, which will suitably complement the teaching of Ukrainian literature in all Ukrainian studies programmes. Students will get familiar with the Ukrainian modernism and postmodernism, its features and prominent figures. Students will also learn how to interpret prosaic and poetic texts and will meet personally the invited Ukrainian writers.
Prerequisites
An excellent knowledge of the language, an orientation in the basic trends of Ukrainian literature as well as European literature of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, the ability to read more complex texts, to discuss are assumed.
