Course content
1. Food. Ukrainian and Czech national cuisine. 2. Table etiquette. Conversation at the table. 3. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Planning the menu. 4. System of restaurants in Ukraine. Ordering, paying. 5. Kinds of food and products. Meat, fish, vegetable, fruit, beverages. 6. Buying food in hypermarkets or in local market. 7. Bio products. The situation on Ukrainian market. 8. Ukrainian traditional soup. Recipe and process of preparing. 9. Ukrainian and Czech cuisine. Comparison. 10. Description of one?s favourite food from Ukrainian, Czech or World cuisine. 11. Healthy life style. Current trends. The effectiveness of diets. 12. Easter and Christmas traditional food in Ukraine. 13. Credit.

Learning outcomes
The course builds on the previous two semesters and is designed for intermediate students. The course focuses on communication, working with text, expanding vocabulary. We work with authentic texts of various topics. Students are encouraged to work with creative text, the creative application of knowledge and communication skills is emphasized homework and formulate their own opinions. During the course, students will gain the ability to independently create thematic texts and dialogues in oral and written form of the Czech-Ukrainian background benchmark plan.
During conversational exercises, students must remember some semantic content associated with each topic, demonstrate the skill these lexemes used in the retelling of texts and answering questions.
Prerequisites
Practical knowledge of Ukrainian appropriate level A2 of the Single European Framework of Reference for Languages. Successful completion of previous courses language exercises conversation and grammar.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Essay, Didactic Test
