Learning outcomes
|
The course is dedicated to broadening the knowledge of morphology of verbs, adverbs and synsemantic parts of speech. We shall focus on verbs (their morphological forms) and adverbs (semantic classification, comparing) and their orthography and usage. Special attention is paid to correct forms of finite and infinite verbs in sentences, selecting the correct aspect, forming phrases with adverbs and their orthography. We shall also deal with classification of prepositions, conjunctions, interjections and particles. Apart from that we shall revise the knowledge of Ukrainian grammar and perfection the rules of orthography and interpunction. This course is preparing the students for the written part of state examination.
An ability to create and use nominative parts of speech in spoken and written text respecting the stylistic norms.

Written exam
- Regular attendance, max. 2 absences, - Doing the assigned tasks, - Researching answers to unclear issues, - Finding linguistic news, - Active participation in discussion, - Consulting dictionaries and other sources, - A test on morphological features and forms of nominative parts of speech, - Knowledge of interpunction rules.
