Course content
1. Speech Competences (SC). Communiction competence, its structuire and issues related to its learning. 2. Listening as a SC.3. Speaking as a SC. 4. Reading with comprehension as a SC. 5. Writing as a SC. 6. System of exercises as an issue in teaching a foreign language. Audio-oral exercises and their analysis. 7. Checking and assessment in teaching a foreign language. Tests in teaching Russian as a foreign language. 8. Language play/ puning in teaching Russian. Functions of game. 9. Specific issues of Russian language lessons (also as a historical review). 10. Selected topical issues (congresses of MAPRYAL and their contribution to teaching Russian as a foreign language, dialogue of cultures and its reflection in teaching, competences, general framework plans etc.). Competence profile of a teacher of Russian as a foreign language in a new educational milieu.

Learning outcomes
Didactics of Russian as a foreign language aims to provide students interested in teaching with a theoretical basis of a subject didactics (with respect to typological proximity of the languages) and with the basic skills needed for the profession.
Adopting and developing teacher´s essential skills, methods, techniques, principles.
Prerequisites
The course is open to students of a Mgr. degree study programme who intend to obtain Teaching Qualifications. Knowledge of the field corresponding to the given stage of study is presupposed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam, Student performance

1) mastering the subject matter of the course, 2) passing the credit test, 3) a well-prepared and defended mini-presentation on a selected topic (dealing with one language device and one type of speech competence), 4) a file of preparatory materials and drafts for teacher-training lessons, 5) ability to operate technical teaching aids.
