Course content
01. Current linguoculturology - history and key terms. 02. Linguoculturology and other linguistic diciplines. 03. Language and culture. 04. Russian phraseology - key terms. 05. Linguocultural aspect of Russian phraseology. 06. National peculiarities of Russian phraseology. 07. Phraseology and history. 08. Phraseology and religion. 09. Phraseology and nature. 10. Image of man in Russian phraseology. 11. Development of phraseology in new cultural and social conditions of contemporary Russia.

Learning outcomes
The lecture and seminars deal with contemporary Russian language from the point of view of linguoculturology (in comparative Russian-Czech and Czech-Russian point of view). The following topics are covered: current Russian linguoculturology, cognitive linguistics, Russian picture of the world and its development, mutual relation between the national-specific and international phenomena in Russian lexicon and phraseology, Russian in intercultural communication, peculiarities of contemporary Russian discourse (esp. current Russian speech and slang).
Being familiar with notions and issues of linguoculturology (in comparative Russian-Czech and Czech-Russian point of view): cognitive linguistics, Russian picture of the world and its development, mutual relation between the national-specific and international phenomena in Russian lexicon and phraseology, Russian in intercultural communication, peculiarities of contemporary Russian discourse (esp. current Russian speech and slang).
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Russian language corresponding at least to C1 level. In case of foreign students, corresponding knowledge of Czech language. Knowledge of general linguistics as well as partial linguistic disciplines corresponding to the level of Mgr. study od Russian philology at Czech university. General knowledge of the issues in humanities and social sciences.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

- active participation in lectures, seminars - study of reference literature - submitting a presentation/ project/ paper - passing the exam
