Course content

The lecture and seminar are devoted to modern broad interdisciplinary disciplines, which can enrich the theoretical knowledge gained from the study of traditional linguistic disciplines. This is communicative linguistics, where the functioning of language in a specific speech situation is studied with a strong application of psychological and social aspects of speech activity. 1/ The origin and definition of psycholinguistics. 2/ Communication and interaction. Communication act and its components .3/ Communication and social roles of communication partners.4/ Speech act theory and speech activity theory.5/ Classification of communication and speech manifestations of different types of social communication.6/ Origin and definition of sociolinguistics. Basic concepts. 7/ Bilingualism, diglossia, multilingualism. 8/ Territorial and social variation of national language. 9/ Communicative spheres and their corresponding linguistic formations.
