Course content
1) General Literature and its social function Literary science, its structure, close and support scientific disciplines 2) literary methods including philology, impressionistic, biographical, sociological-positivist, psychological methods (A. Potebňa, W. Dilthey, S. Freud, CG Jung, etc.) Immanent methods (Russian Formal School, New Criticism, various forms of structuralism, postrukturalistické methods -- hermeneutics, dekonstruktivismus etc. postmodern context. Russian literary criticism and science in the 19th and early 20th century. 3) Literary Theory Literary theory and poetics Theory poetry Theory of Prose Theory of Drama 4) Comparative Literature Comparative Overview Development World Literature Different concepts of comparative literature Comparative General Comparative concepts are Range Different concepts of comparative studies 5) Literary genologie Genre taxonomy The theory of literary genres Theory of the Novel 6) Literary Trends Concepts, definitions, authors, texts 7) The current state of literary scholarship Areal and integration of philology and social sciences as a new aspect of literary science

Learning outcomes
Course knowledge generalizes the classical theory of literature. Focuses on the literary methodology, theory, poetry, prose, drama and new literaty research approaches and disciplines - comparative, genologie in the context of other disciplines.
Knowledge of literary theory and orientation in its problems.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Theory of Literature at master's level study.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Complete processing of the issue and defending the seminar.
