Course content
Christianity and the emergence of literature in Kievan Rus. Literature in the 12th - 14 century. Genres and major texts of Russian Literature 14th - 16 century. Literature 18th century. Development of Russian Literature 1st half of 19th century, the second half of 19th century. Russian Literature 20th century. Russian literary emigration. Modernism. The theory of periodization of Russian Literature 20th century.

Learning outcomes
Course generalizes developmental stage of Russian literature, devoted to periodization of Russian literature and its theory, historical descriptions of different developmental stages and the theory of description.
Theoretical and factual detail orientation in the history of Russian literature.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the history of Russian literature at postgraduate level, state final examination.

Oral exam

Complete processing of the issue and defending the seminar.
