Introduction into the subject matter. The history or domestic and foreign research in the field of Russian Studies before 1945. The history of the Czechoslovak Russian Studies after 1945. The contemporary Czech and Slovak Russian Studies. Important researchers in the field of the Russian phonetics and phonology and their work. Important researchers in the field of the Russian morphology and their work. Important researchers in the field of the Russian syntax and their work. Important researchers in the field of the Czech linguistic Russian Studies and their work. Detailed introduction of selected works.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject provides students with basic orientation in modern history of the Czech and the Slovak linguistic Russian Studies. The focus will be drawn particularly on the profile representatives of each linguistic discipline and their work.
The student is provided with an overview of the development directions of the domestic linguistic research in Russian Studies, as well as the important representatives of the Czech and the Slovak linguistic Russian Studies and their work.

Prerequisites
|
Basic orientation in the history of linguistics, linguistic schools and the methods of linguistic research. The subject is designed for the students of consequential master study programme.
