Course content
New terminology in taking care of seniors I, II. New terminology in taking care of poverty stricken and socially eliminated persons. New terminology in addiction on drugs and other kinds of addictions. HIV/AIDS terminology. New terminology in alternative family care New terminology in state policy of social welfare. New terminology in non-governmental, especially church-run charitable institutions. Names of authorities, institutions and facilities operating in the welfare system (from the Russian-Czech point of view) I, II.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with actual processes in the development of lexicon of a sphere where unusual changes took place in last twenty years. Socio-political changes have crucially affected the social sphere ? new institutions, changes in socio-legal relations etc.
Students should acquire knowledge of latest procedures in lexicon development in an area in which it came to unprecedented changes during recent twenty years.
Prerequisites
The seminar is intended for students of Magister's degree courses of all Russian studies fields.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary)

Active participation in seminars, performance of homeworks. Compilation of a thematic glossary covering a self-chosen topical area.
