Learning outcomes
|
This course is an independent continuation of the PTT1 course and is designed for students who are interested in the field of technical translation. They will get familiar with the terminology used in both the commercial and the production sphere of mechanical engineering. The aim of this course is to provide the students with an outline of technical terms, which are very specific and precisely defined.
Students will get familiar with vocabulary from the given field and will be able to understand the meaning of the terms and to translate them.

Prerequisites
|
A practical knowledge of Russian, at least B2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. Understanding the problematic of Russian administrative style as required in Bc study curriculum.

Written exam, Student performance
Active participation, max. 2 absences Learning the vocabulary, as will be tested during the semester in tests Passing the credit test Composing a glossary on a given topic
