Course content
|
1.Traditional and new forms of tourism. 2.Touristically significant places in the Russian federation and the Czech Republic. 3.Touristically significant places in the Olomouc region suitable for the visit of Russian tourists. 4.The profile of Russian tourists, their interests, needs and requirements. 5.Looking up and processing information about the opportunities for tourism in the Russian federation. 6.Preparing programmes for Czech tourists in Russia. 7.Preparing programmes for Russian tourists in the Czech Republic and the Olomouc region. 8.Obstacles to the development of tourism between the Russian federation and the Czech Republic. 9.Fam/press trips as a convenient form of promotion of touristically significant places. 10.Practical activities of travel agencies and tour guides on package tours to the Russian federation. 11. Perspectives on tourism development in the Russian federation in connection with the summer Universiade in Kazan, the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in 10 cities in the Russian federation.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims are to deepen students? knowledge of the development of tourism in the Russian federation and the Czech Republic. Students will gain basic information about touristically important areas in the Russian federation, they will become familiar with the needs and requirements of Russian tourists, and they will acquire an elementary overview of the perspectives of tourism development in the Russian federation. Students will check up on their practical skills when preparing a programme for Russian tourists in the Czech Republic and the Olomouc region. The seminars are led by a native speaker of Russian.
During the course, students will familiarise themselves with contemporary issues of tourism development in the Russian federation and the Czech Republic, they will become familiar with the profile and requirements of Russian tourists, and they will learn to create programmes for Czech tourists in Russia and Russian tourists in the Czech Republic, specifically in the Olomouc region.

Good knowledge of Russian, the ability to understand spoken language.

Essay, Seminar Work
Active participation in the seminars, doing assigned coursework, presenting students? own programmes within the discussed topics.
