Letter of gratitude. 06. Correspondence in tourism. Letter of demand. 07. Respond to a letter of demand. 08. Letter of supply. 09. Respond to a letter of supply. Letter of order. 10. Quality complaint letter. 11. Quantity complaint letter. 12. Other complaint letters.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to present the students with the linguistic, stylistic and formal specific features of business letter as a genre of the administrative style. Special attention it paid to the differences between Czech and Russian. Students will acquire and automatize certain habits necessary for working with such type of documents, they will learn how to translate them from Russian to Czech and vice versa, and also how to compose them in both languages. At the beginning we shall deal mostly with administrative letters regarding more general or social topics such inquiry, announcement, congratulations, condolence, invitation and cover letter, then we shall deal with business letters with a more complicated structure, such as letter of supply, letter of demand and warranty claim.
Acquiring the basic habits and skills (text, style, and language) connected to writing and translation of business letters in Russian and Czech and comparison of the two languages.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Russian language, at least B1 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages, a knowledge of Russian grammar system and general vocabulary as required in the language obligatory courses. Communicative and language competence as required in the curriculum.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

- Doing the assigned homework, letters will be submitted in typed form - Passing the credit test (3 attempts), only in the current examination period
