Course content

The seminar is intended for undergraduate students and is aimed at practically practicing translation procedures when translating prose texts from Russian into Czech.

Learning outcomes
|
Seminář bude věnován překladům závěrečných řečí politických vězňů v Rusku a Bělorusku pro připravovanou publikaci, kterou chystají pedagogové katedry slavistiky ve spolupráci s organizací Memorial. Během semestru budou studenti pracovat na překladu z ruštiny do češtiny vybrané závěrečné řeči, která bude zahrnuta do chystané publikace.
Skills to analyse a literary text, understand its style and translate it adequately from source to target language.
