Basic topics: Communication and information literacy in the 21. century (new words in modern Russian language) Russia today (work with journalist texts) Russian fairy tale (expression of verbal expressiveness in a fairy tale) Russian sayings (conditional sentences, translatability problem) Russian language in everyday usage (phraseology) Expressing time in Russian language

Learning outcomes
|
This optional course is focused on conversation skills, discussion, various aspects of text reception, such as developing literacy, text interest, and perceptions of the academic register or the assessment of spoken language in various contexts and extending students vocabulary in the topics of interest. Texts and exercises are using grammar and vocabulary of modern Russian language. The aim is to increase communication skills in all aspects of Russian language.

Prerequisites
|
A practical knowledge of Russian, at least B1 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Student performance, Seminar Work
Attendance, max. 2 absences task completion, active participation in discussions presentation of a chosen topic assignment paper
