Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is to present the students with the general theoretical notions about language and stylistic features of contemporary Russian media and to form practical skills of creation and editing of texts of media discourse. This course consists of following topics: the language and genre features of contemporary Russian media texts, their stylistic and discursive peculiarities, aspects of functioning of lexical, phraseological and grammatical units, the problems of the interaction of modern Russian journalistic texts with the language substandard and neologisms, methods of creating and editing of media texts.

Prerequisites
|
A practical knowledge of Russian, at least B2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages and understanding the Russian style of media as required by the Bc. study curriculum.
