Course content
KSO/91BI1 Publication in a journal with impact factor in the Czech Republic 1 20 credits In Czech, Polish, Ukrainian or Russian. Supervisor. To be specified afte 30 September. Contents 1. Definition of the research topic 2. Definition of methodology 3. Planning the paper's structure 4. Preparation of individual parts of the paper 5. Identification of an appropriate journal 6. Editing according to a journal style sheet 7. Submission of the paper 8. Possible style or content alterations, proof-reading, publication The course is supported by the project CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0179 Diverzifikace a systematizace postgraduálního studia na FF UP Olomouc.

Very good linguistic knowledge; knowledge of a scientifix context which the translation will be set in. Skills acquired - ability to define topic and methodology of a research paper - ability to plan a research paper - ability to edit a research paper - ability to communicate with a publisher of research papers
Prerequisites
Very good knowledge of issues treated in a translated text as a part of thesis preparation. Writing a paper under tutor supervision, selection of an appropriate journal, submission of the paper for a peer-review process, communication with the publisher.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio

Very good knowledge of postgraduate student´s field of study, to be able to state more precisely the methodological approaches. To be able to defend his/her own solutions. Bibliographic reference in OBD system. Student requirements Writing a paper under tutor supervision, selection of an appropriate journal, submission of the paper for a peer-review process, communication with the publisher.
