Learning outcomes |
This follow-up course is destined for students with a very good language level. The lessons are dedicated to specialised branches and the specific terminology used. All examples are real. The objective of this practical course is the analysis of translation strategies and the student's own attempts to translate utility and specialized texts (their selection is adjusted to the current needs and requirements of the group). The course prepares the students for the translation work.
In relation to the basic specialised language skills and competences already learned, the student will learn further specialised competences, skills and abilities from the field of translation strategies and their analysis. Consolidation of knowledge: a. analysis of translation strategies, b. own attempts of translation of utility and specialised texts. |
Prerequisites |
Ability to work with specialized texts in Polish and in Czech. Very good knowledge of Polish and Czech.
