Course content
1. Stylistics and theory of text - common and different points. 2. Basic terms of theory of text, its definition, text treatment. 3. Stylistics as linguistic discipline, its methods, basic concepts. 4. Stylistic factors. 5. Style quality, differentiation and stratification of national language. 6. Theory of functional styles. 7. Functional style communicative. 8. Functional style professional and administrative. 9. Functional style non-fictional. 10. Functional style artistic. 11. Functional style rhetoric. 12. Text composition, composition / literary techniques and their modification, horizontal and vertical text segmentation. 13. Pre-exam credit test, exam preparation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
In this course, the focus is put on practical treatment of text with respect to its structure. The students will be acquainted with different concepts of text and style, preparatory methods and techniques in scientific and common texts (definition, classification, analysis, comparative, reasoning) with respect to accurate note-taking. The seminar is led with respect to current need of students who are working on their bachalor theses.
The students will acquire competences as stated in the syllabus.
Prerequisites
Reading of academic papers in Czech and Polish and practical study texts in Polish.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance

Regular and active attendance - 80%, two absences are permitted; fulfilment of all partial assessment tasks; individual study of Polish texts, preparation of a specialist text in Polish (introduction to the Bachelor's thesis or abstract).
