Course content
The course aims at functional mastery of spoken and written Polish. Within the framework of selected topics, we will analyze original texts. The exercises accompanying the texts enrich vocabulary and develop ability to effectively process the information from the texts, to discuss, to reason and to contradict.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The objective of this course is to enhancing students' communication and language competences. The objective of this course is to discuss on selected topics, continuous vocabulary enriching with respect to the contemporary variants of Polish and background information about Poland. The topics are covered not only with texts taken from textbooks and journalism, but also with fragments of Polish literature. The exercises accompanying those texts help students to enrich vocabulary, to develop their ability to process the text´s main idea, to discuss, to reason and to contradict. Audiovisual materials are incorporated into teaching process to help students to process effectively information.
Standard communication skills, knowledge of Polish grammar and vocabulary - level B2. The students are supposed to be able to express themselves individually and creatively during problem solving activities on a selected topic.
Prerequisites
Basic communication skills and having successfully completed the preceding courses related to this one.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic

Good results in partial assessment tests, 80% attendance.
