Learning outcomes
|
Hermeneutics as a theory of interpretation and understanding literary texts. Its basic terminology and concepts: language, communication with the fiction world. Specific issues of understanding an aesthetical situation. Literary hermeneutics as an interpretation of literary text: finding its meaning in the context of human behaviour. The discipline has two aims: to present the students with the theory of interpretation from the point of view of its historical development and to explain basic issues of literary text: author, text as a sign, recipient. Special attention is paid to the problem of narrator.
Knowledge of the development of hermeneutic thinking, theoretical knowledge of the concept of author, narrator, text, structure of sign, recipient.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of literary theory, orientation in literary text, knowledge of history of Russian literature of the 19th and 20th centuries.
