Course content
1. Definition of the communication basic rules. Perception of individual feelings, direct expression of the feelings, openness, feed-back, creation of the frame of reference, group solidarity, responsible dependency, learning by listening and observing, uncovering similarities, individual initiative, ideals and models, experimentation with new behaviour. 2. Social skills. Cooperation and participation. Reflection and identification of individual emotions and realising own reactions on emotions of others. Feed-back as a tool of training social skills. Activities towards new social skills cultivation. 3. Human-centred communication. Human-centred approach in andragogy. Practising human-centred approach. Respect, empathy, acceptance, authenticity, congruency. Incongruence. 4. Active listening. Techniques of active listening. Practising active listening. 5. Issues of verbal communication. Communication context, communication problems and bias. Content and form of communication. Activities towards verbal communication cultivation. 6. Issues of non-verbal communication. (Non)conscious experience of various forms of communication. Facial expressions, gesture, posture, proxemics, haptic, outlook, eye contact, paralinguistic. Activities towards non-verbal communication cultivation. 7. Social intuition. Knowing the communication partners. Identification of verbal and non-verbal signals from the communication partners. 8. Communication itself. Self-reflection and reflection of individual communication strategies. Identification of ideals and models. Activities towards self-awareness. 9. Conflicts. Prevention of communication problems. Accepting and giving criticism. Assertiveness. Assertive praise. 10. Communication in social group. Team communication. General rules of communication in a small social group. Group situation analysis, identification and the use of appropriate approach, strategy evaluation. 11. Group processes facilitation and the group communication. Psychosocial techniques to support communication, eliminating competition. 12. Demanding communication. Problematic communication. Identification of the causes, process, and consequences of the demanding communication. Elimination of the communication problems with particular social groups.

Learning outcomes
The course Selected problems of social communication, the development and cultivation of professional and personal skills as an effective tool andragogického action. Emphasis is given to developing verbal communication skills, interpersonal influence tactics, teamwork and communication, reflection and self-reflection. It's more practical, experiential course self-knowledge, the development of empathy and social skills.
Student knows: - terminology of communication (transmitter, receiver, communication, context, feed-back, etc.), - answer to the basic communication questions (WHAT, WHO, WHERE, HOW, WITH WHOM, HOW MUCH and WHY communicates) in the context of andragogy, - basic communication rules. Student can: - identify principles of the human-centred communication, - describe the principles of the human-centred ommunication, - explain the principles of the human-centred communication. Student is capable to: - experience reflexively verbal and non-verbal communication in the context of andragogical intervenes, - use the basic communication skills in the action field of andragogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

To gain the credit it is necessary to be active during tutorials, and to work out the correspondence task. To gain the credit is an inevitable condition to get to the colluvium. Colloquium is held as a discussion in small groups of students.
